This How To Plan A Great Kids Party is written on My ABDL Life
There are some really cool things that can be done when it comes to allowing children have fun. One of those cool things is to have a kids party where you can organize an endless collection of games. If you have decided to host a party for your kids, then you need to be ready with three things for a successful party – Food, games and backup plans.
Why should you plan for all these three things? We could suggest a couple of reasons. If you should host a kids party and become successful at that, your popularity with your own kids and other kids will go through the roof. Since you are such a great host, your kids will end up becoming the best kids among the neighbourhood kids. There is also the personal satisfaction of the knowledge you are the best kids party organizer ever!
Party Plan
Every life event starts with a plan and so does the kids party. We have already established that you need to have food, party games and back up plans.
Starting with the food, there are simply no limits what you can arrange for your kids party. Whatever works for your kids should work out just fine for other kids as well. So, the standard list of energy foods like sandwich, burgers and pizza should work out very well for the party kids and any parents who may want to join in on the action. Of course, you want to serve healthy food while also maintaining the taste quotient on the higher side.
That is why we would suggest adding a lot of fresh fruits and beverages made of fruit to the dinner table. At the end of the day, at least some of the kids are bound to grab a cup or two of fruit juice. All said and done, do include two to three variants of ice cream into the mix. Everybody just loves ice cream.
Party Games
When it comes to games, we would like to lean towards board games a lot. Popular board games that we have fond memories of are the game of life, monopoly and of course, who can forget battleship.
Personally, we would suggest that you get at least two boards of each of these games. While the game of life can accommodate more than two players easily, monopoly is a lot of fun when you have lots of kids. Monopoly works well with young kids because they can play either as the bank character or the player character. We have noticed that intellectual kids like to take on more responsibilities than simply being a player.
Along with the above mentioned games, another favorite game for kids who want something that is a lot more energetic, is twister. Twister can be played by young teens who may not enjoy simply sitting and playing games like monopoly and life. Add in some music and have one of the parents take over the narration of moves and you can have a party where everybody can have fun.
Back Up Plans
This is where your true skill at organizing parties come into focus.
We have talked at length about food and some about games. A lot of things can go wrong with pretty much anything in life, with mostly adults involved. With kid’s parties, the overwhelming majority of players are kids and that means there is a lot more chance of things going wrong.
The first item that can go wrong is food. While you can always tell and plan for how much adults going to eat, it is not possible to do the same for kids. So, always have additional food in the fridge and have the phone number for at least two different pizza places on hand. It would not hurt to keep a few pastries in the refrigerator for emergencies. Also, have loads of cleaning material at hand just in case a food fight breaks out. We hope it does not but then again, with kids around, all we can do is hope.
With food back up plans in place, have some backup games in the rare scenario that your chosen games don’t just fly with your party crowd. One activity that seems to work great as a backup game is a crate filled with painting supplies. Grab a big crate and fill it with colours, paint brushes, lots of sheets and play some jumpy music so kids can dance and paint their evening away. Of course, this is just a backup plan. Alternatively, you can make painting the main event and relegate monopoly and twister to back up game status. Plan as you please.
The author has one more quirky idea that lets you have fun with your kids – a bowling party. Bowling is one kids parties idea that you will completely fall in love with.
